I've always been fascinated by how people’s thoughts become things. I spent my late teenage years frequenting handicraft markets in Nairobi, speaking with and haggling with artists. After completing my post-graduate degree in business law, I worked in publishing and ran a professional network for people working in the media and other creative industries in Cambridge (UK). I learnt early on that ingenuity, and the creative process is not enough to build a livelihood, a creator needs to attract buyers and sell at a profit.
In addition to working as a marketer for over 10 years in international firms, I have kept close to makers and entrepreneurs through mentoring and project work. Through my venture, I have worked with various ground-breaking media and technology start-ups providing training, project delivery and consultancy to help them take their products to market and gain traction.
